Kristy has been with Supervalu since 1997 and a member of the SVU team since 2009. Along with being an instructor, Kristy assists in researching topics and developing new courses. Kristy’s areas of expertise include Fresh and Center Store Trends, GOT Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, Food Manager Certification and SVHarbor.
Kristy’s supermarket experience began in 1985 with an independent retailer in Arkansas. Her 12 years of retail experience includes eight years of management and supervisory positions most recently in the Bakery, Deli and Pizza departments.
Since being with Supervalu, Kristy has been a Bakery/Deli Specialist, Fresh Sales Manager responsible for managing the Bakery and Deli Specialists, Southeast Region Perishable Director responsible for directing the Sales Managers, Retail Business Consultant working with owners on their business plans and a Six Sigma Black Belt trouble-shooting business issues and providing long-term solutions.
In 1992, Kristy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Arkansas State University. In 2007, she began working Six Sigma and Sigma Lean projects. In 2009, she became a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
